Critical Issues Series Focuses on Meeting Financial Challenges in Tough Times
Posted November 19, 2008: A series of Nonprofit Center Critical Issues Forums is helping nonprofits respond creatively to the economic downturn that is increasing demand for services while at the same time reducing the resources available to the sector. The next listening and discussion session is "The Changing Environment for Financial Support of the Nonprofit Sector" on Tuesday, December 2, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Aurora Family Services, 3200 W. Highland Blvd., Milwaukee. Participants will learn about the challenges faced by foundations with reduced portfolios, how the corporate community and individual donors may reduce giving in the coming months, and how nonprofits can realign expectations and sources of support. This is a free "brown bag" event, feel free to bring a lunch with you. For details and to register: (414) 344-3933, email info@nonprofitcentermilwaukee.org.
